Sally's Saga of the Disappointing Dinner Party
Sally is a busy lady. She works full time and has a lot of friends. One day she invited all her friends to a dinner party. But Sally doesn't have a lot of time to cook. So she planned a menu of Daina's Petite Pies.
Here is her menu:
12 Incredible Veggible Appetizers
12 Beef Wellington Pies
12 Bumbleberry Pies (with French Vanilla Ice Cream, of course)
Sally invited all of her friends (okay, only 12 of them) and they were all very excited about having a wonderful dinner of Daina's Petite Pies. It was the talk of the social circle.
So on the day of her party, Sally cleaned up the house, set the table and took off for the farmers market. She bought some salad mix and some flowers for the table. Then she stopped at Daina's Petite Pies to give Daina her order.
"Oh, Sally. I'm so sorry. I sold all the Bumbles today, I only have 7 Beef Wellingtons left and we only have a few Incredible Veggibles!" Daina said.
"What will I do?!" Sally wailed. "Everyone's going to be so disappointed!"
Sally should have ordered ahead on line. She could pay by credit card and rest assured that her pies would be boxed up and ready to go when she got to the Daina's Petite Pie booth. She could even pick them up at Kincaid's or Pairings. or Mass. Ave. Wine Shoppe.
