Congratulations! The Indiana Artisan program has juried in its third and final group of participants for 2008, and you are among them. Without question, this program will benefit individual Hoosier artisans and at the same time leverage their art, food and hand crafts to create a brand that promotes quality Indiana-made work. And your work will be part of that brand.
Your application was among 124 reviewed by the October jury panels, and among the 31 selected. The two juries, one for food applicants and one for arts applicants, met for three days to review every application. We learned in the early development of this program that we need to admit artisans’ work, not artisans. The October jury panel approved all six of your pies (pork, apple, veggie, shepards pie, tamale, and chicken), however, and each may carry the Indiana Artisan logo.
